Researchers at the University of Bologna employ qualitative research methods, such as ethnography and focus groups, to analyze the changes and challenges in social security and welfare policies resulting from the progressive transnationalization of aging, particularly concerning the two diasporic communities targeted by Prin PNRR TAIA (Tunisian and Senegalese diasporas). Collaborating with practitioners and agencies from the Third Sector, they also strive to understand how various social actors navigate their access to services.
