We are pleased to announce the opening of the call for papers for the VII Biennial Conference of ASAI (12-14 September 2024, University of Messina): ” Longing for Belonging: Communities and Divides in Africa.”
We would like to highlight Panel No. 25, “ Seniority and rituals in Africa and the diasporas,” . The panel intends to gather contributions investigating the elderly/ritual relationship in Africa and the multiple diasporas that connect the continent with various elsewhere, highlighting its dynamics, contradictions, and new reconfigurations in different historical moments and geographical contexts.

PLEASE NOTE: Contribution proposals must be submitted by filling out the online downloadable form and include the following information: the title of the paper, an abstract (maximum 300 words), and the panel selected for the proposal. Proposals in both Italian and English will be accepted.
